The trade this page is honest about
Hyperping's Essentials plan is $24 a month billed yearly ($29 billed monthly) and covers 50 monitors at a 30-second interval floor. Fettle's own 30-second floor sits on Max, at $31 a month billed annually for 300 monitors. Divided out, that puts Hyperping at under half a dollar per monitor for 30-second checks against a plan built for six times the monitor count — a comparison we're making explicitly, not one either vendor publishes. Hyperping is cheaper 30-second monitoring than ours, plainly, with no hedge on that point: if a 30-second floor at the lowest possible price is the whole requirement, Hyperping's Essentials plan wins it.
Rotation with confirmation, against fan-out
The two products check regions differently. checks rotate through the selected regions one region at a time per minute, and a failure is immediately double-checked from the other selected regions — a real confirmation step, not a single unconfirmed sample, and any description of their model has to carry that. Fettle's model is fan-out instead of rotation: every selected region checks the monitor every interval. Region count isn't the interesting comparison here — Hyperping's pool of 18 against our 3 would only be a coverage argument — the difference that matters is which regions actually run a check on a given interval. Every region a Fettle monitor has selected checks it every interval; a Hyperping monitor's selected regions take turns, one per minute, with the others called in only after a failure to confirm it.
Monitor ceiling and status pages, not retention
Hyperping's own pricing page does not publish an uptime-history retention window per plan — the 7-day figure that appears there sits inside server-resource monitoring, not uptime history, so this page does not repeat it as a retention claim. What is published and comparable is the monitor ceiling and status-page allowance. Hyperping's Essentials plan covers 50 monitors; Max covers 300 at the same 30-second interval — six times the ceiling, a ratio we're computing here, not one either pricing page states outright. Hyperping's status-page allowance runs 1 / 1 / 3 / 10 across Free, Essentials, Pro and Business; Fettle's runs 1 / 3 / 10 (Plus / Pro / Max). Both ship a REST API and an MCP server. Hyperping's REST API is on every paid plan; their documentation does not say which plans carry the MCP server. Fettle's REST API is on every plan, including free, and the MCP server is on every plan, including free.
