Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Fettle collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for your account data is D-1 Digital Solutions Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202532472D), a company incorporated in Singapore, operating Fettle at fettle.sh. For any privacy question or request, email support@fettle.sh.
2. What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and password — the password is stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text. Sign-in providers: account information received from sign-in providers you choose (Google, GitHub) — your name, email address and the provider's account identifier. Service data: the monitors, heartbeats and status pages you configure, check results and incident history, and the alert channels you connect. Billing: payments are processed by our merchant of record; we store your subscription state, never your card details. Operational logs: request metadata such as IP address and user agent, kept briefly for security, debugging and rate limiting. We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies.
3. Signing in with Google or GitHub
You can create an account or sign in with Google or GitHub instead of a password. The provider sends us your name, email address and the identifier of your account with that provider; we never receive your password there, and we request no access to your data at the provider beyond that basic profile. An account created this way has no password until you choose to set one. You can link a provider to an existing account and unlink it later from your account settings, as long as one way to sign in remains. A given provider account can be linked to one Fettle account only. Your use of the provider itself stays governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
4. Why we collect it
To run your checks and deliver alerts, to render uptime history and status pages, to maintain your subscription, to prevent abuse of the service, and to send transactional email (verification, password reset, alerts). We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Monitored targets
The URLs, hosts and endpoints you monitor are your choice and your responsibility: only monitor systems you own or are authorized to probe. If the targets or the pages you publish contain personal data, you are the controller of that data; Fettle processes it only to provide the service to you.
6. Service providers and transfers
We use a small number of service providers to operate Fettle: infrastructure hosting, a payment processor acting as merchant of record, and an email delivery provider. Monitoring checks run from several regions worldwide, so check data may be processed outside the EEA; where personal data is transferred internationally, we use providers offering appropriate safeguards. When you connect a messaging integration such as Slack or Telegram, alert content is delivered through that platform under its own terms.
7. Retention
Check results and incident history are retained according to your plan's retention limit (currently between 7 and 365 days) and are then deleted or aggregated. Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, access is revoked and all monitoring stops immediately; residual records are removed from active systems through routine data rotation. If you want your data erased faster, email support@fettle.sh and we will process the erasure request.
8. Cookies
We set a single first-party cookie, used only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can edit your profile and delete your account directly from the settings page; for anything else — including access and erasure requests — email support@fettle.sh.
10. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit, data is isolated per organization, and production access is restricted.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or an in-product notice before they take effect. The date below always reflects the current version.
